Prospect League Announces 2026 Schedule!
The 2026 Prospect League schedule is here with Opening Day slated for Tuesday, May 26th!
MAHOMET, Ill. – The Prospect League proudly revealed its schedule for the 2026 season today! The League's 63rd year of baseball will feature 20 teams for the first time in history as Komomo, Ind., and Decatur, Ill., will take the field starting this season.
2026 Opening Day is slated for Tuesday, May 26th, with 10 games and all 20 teams in action. The 2026 season will again be split into a first and second half. The first half will conclude on Friday, June 26th, and the second half will begin on Saturday, June 27th. The 2026 regular season will conclude following the games on Saturday, August 1st.
The 2026 Prospect League Champion will be crowned following the regular season with the same playoff format used over the past five seasons. The playoffs will begin with four winner-take-all division championships, followed by two winner-take-all conference championships, and will conclude with a best-of-three league championship series. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 2nd and conclude on Sunday, August 9th.
