Prospect League Announces 2025 Awards
The Prospect League recognizes the 2025 Eastern & Western Conference All-Stars and the five individual award winners.
MAHOMET, Ill. - The Prospect League proudly announces the 2025 Awards as voted on by the League's 18 field managers following the conclusion of the regular season.
The 2025 Awards recognize the best of the Prospect League from this past season and include the Eastern Conference All-Star Team, the Western Conference All-Star Team, the Roland Hemond Pro Prospect of the Year, the Galen Woods Fireman of the Year, the Manager of the Year, the ArmCare.com Pitcher of the Year, and the Mike Schmidt Player of the Year.
Awards were individually announced from Monday, August 11th to Friday, August 15th on Prospect League social media and here.

Roland Hemond Pro Prospect of the Year
The Roland Hemond Pro Prospect of the Year is awarded to the league's top professional prospect.
This year's recipient is REX 1B Wally Diaz.
Diaz, across 44 games, batted .338 with 53 hits, 42 runs, 9 doubles, 4 triples, 14 home runs, 48 runs batted in, and a 1.117 on-base + slugging percentage.
The half-season and full-season Eastern Conference All-Star led the Prospect League with 14 home runs, 27 extra-base hits, and a .713 slugging percentage.
Galen Woods Fireman of the Year
The Galen Woods Fireman of the Year is awarded to the league's top relief pitcher.
This year's recipient is Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp RHP Parker Primeaux.
Primeaux, across 9 appearances, tossed 22.1 innings with a 0.40 earned run average, allowing 4 hits, 4 walks, and 1 run. Primeaux recorded 5 saves and struck out 41 batters with 16.52 strikeouts per 9 innings and a 0.36 WHIP.
The McNeese State University product signed a professional contract with the Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League following the season's end.
Manager of the Year
The Manager of the Year is awarded to the league's top field manager as voted on by their peers.
This year's recipient is Clinton LumberKings Manager Jack Dahm.
Dahm led the LumberKings to a 34-19 regular-season record and the 4th-best overall winning percentage (.642) in the Prospect League. The LumberKings were first half Northwest Division winners and advanced to the Western Conference Championship Game as Northwest Division Champions.
The LumberKings led the Prospect League in batting average (.301), and finished 3rd in doubles (104) and hits (520), 4th in slugging percentage (.411) and on-base percentage (.407), and 5th in total bases (711). On the mound, the LumberKings had the 5th-best earned run average (5.00) and 2nd-most shutouts (5).
ArmCare.com Pitcher of the Year
The ArmCare.com Pitcher of the Year is awarded to the league's top pitcher.
This year's recipient is REX RHP Samuel Guadamuz.
Guadamuz, across 8 starts, threw 52.1 innings with a 2.24 earned run average, allowing 31 hits, 12 walks, and 13 runs. Guadamuz put up a 7-1 record and struck out 56 batters with 9.63 strikeouts per 9 innings and a 0.82 WHIP.
The half-season and full-season Eastern Conference All-Star led the Prospect League in strikeouts (56) and wins (7), and finished second in innings pitched (52.1).
Mike Schmidt Player of the Year
The Mike Schmidt Player of the Year is awarded to the league's top overall player.
This year's recipient is REX 1B Wally Diaz.
Diaz, across 44 games, batted .338 with 53 hits, 42 runs, 9 doubles, 4 triples, 14 home runs, 48 runs batted in, and a 1.117 on-base + slugging percentage.
The Oklahoma Wesleyan University commit led the Prospect League with 14 home runs, 27 extra-base hits, and a .713 slugging percentage.
