Miners drill Nashville 10-4

NASHVILLE — Blake Roberts drive in four runs as the Miners salvaged a victory in their three-game set against Nashville.
The Miners banged out 10 hits in the win, which keeps them a half-game behind Chillicothe in the East Division of the Prospect League.
Josh McQuade got the win in relief of starter Andrew Parsons. He struck out four in a row at one point.
Travis Isaak had a hit and scored three times for West Virginia (9-7 second half, 24-20 overall) and Victor Gomez added a hit, scored twice and drove in two runs.
The Miners victory halted a four-game win streak by Nashville (7-6, 21-20).
The Miners are off today before hosting DuBois County Monday. Former WVU quarterback Major Harris will throw out the first pitch.
