Dually Represented
As projected former Prospect League standouts, and current MLB standouts, Jonathan Papelbon (Boston) and Ryan Howard (Philadelphia) have both been selected to participate in the 2009 MLB All Star game in St. Louis Missouri. During their time in the Prospect League Papelbon spent one season with Danville (IL) and Howard spent a season with Decatur (IL). Over the years the Prospect League has produced over 170 Major League ballplayers including multiple Hall of Famers and All Stars. The Prospect League would like to thank their loyal fans for supporting their players as they move through their careers in professional baseball and voting in the two most recent Prospect League standouts to the 2009 MLB All Star roster.
